Konami announces two senior appointments

Global gaming company, Konami Gaming, inc. have announced the appoitment of two new Vice Presidents in their sales department. Casey Whelan has been appointed to the role of  Vice President of North American game sales, while Jay Bertsch has been recruited  to the position  of VP of global systems sales.

Bertsch has been tasked in the past with helping Konami Gaming expand its system sales for over a decade in his previous role as senior director of system sales prior to his promotion and has also served in its other subsidiary, Konami Australia Pty Ltd, for three years. He was brought in to Konami gaming in September 2017 to help with the distribution of SYNKROS, Konami’s fully integrated casino management system. Whelan, also comes from within the Konami group, having served the company since 2012 when he took up the role of director of regional sales.

Thomas Jingoli, executive vice president & chief commercial officer at Konami Gaming, expressed his delight at the pair’s promotions stating: “For years, Casey Whalen and Jay Bertsch have provided key support in championing Konami customers and advancing Konami’s market presence. They offer outstanding leadership and expertise for our sales division, with proven ability to achieve operational targets. As Konami’s game offering and systems technology continues to expand to new areas, the focus of our leadership remains on customer commitment and engaging entertainment.” 

Konami Gaming, inc. is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company is a subsidiary of the Konami Corporation which was founded in Osaka, Japan in 1973.
