Esports Entertainment has partnered with the majority owners of both NBA team the Philadelphia 76ers and NHL team the New Jersey Devils to offer player-to-player esports betting.

The gaming company has agreed a multi-year deal with Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, the owner of the sports organisation Dignitas, to provide gambling through the website “VIE.gg.”

VIE.gg launched in March, with the company having plans in place to launch a tournament platform in 2019.

Users can gamble on League of Legends, Call of Duty and a variety of other popular esport games through VIE.gg.

Esports Entertainment announced at the beginning of the month it hopes to have its financing completed, having applied to be publicly listed on the Nasdaq, to have all of its platforms fully functioning within the year.

CEO Grant Johnson said: “I am very proud of this new partnership with HBSE and their Dignitas esports brand, which is founded in our shared common beliefs of player safety above all else.”
