According to the assessment, the actions of the companies could put minors at risk of being impacted by manipulating results.

The penalty fees were distributed based on company size, with ComeOn Sweden fined SEK 6m ($6.2m), Hajper SEK 4.5m and Legolas Invest SEK 100,000.

Snabbare received the largest penalty, at SEK 9.5m.

The report confirms the companies have taken measures to ensure  future betting takes place in accordance with the Gaming Act.

A recent SGA review showed the newly re-regulated Swedish gaming market had net sales of SEK 6.41bn for Q2 2019, a 2% rise from Q1.

The report estimates 91% of all gambling took place at companies with a Swedish license for H1, with a total of 86 companies holding licenses for the market in August.

The majority of the market’s revenue came from commercial online gaming, with a total of SEK 3.45bn in net sales.

Global Gaming CEO Tobias Fagerlund recently spoke to Gambling Insider about the SGA’s decision to revoke subsidiary SafeEnt’s license, which he calls “unlawful.”
