NagaWorld allowed to fully re-open

The Cambodian Government allowed NagaCorp Ltd to re-open “all of its casino businesses”. The casino is located in the capital Phnom Penh and with the easing of restrictions across the country, it’s only been allowed to operate VIP table games and slots.

NagaWorld allowed to fully re-open

Earlier this month, NagaCorp signed an agreement with the Government to resume limited operations starting 8 July, and the country’s Ministry of Health recently confirmed it had no objection to the group reopening its casinos “consisting of the mass market, VIP and slot gaming machines businesses”.

The group also signed on 30 June a Memorandum of Understanding containing rules regarding health and safety within the venue in order to prevent any possible coronavirus outbreaks. The MoU is a requirement for any re-opening casino in Cambodia.

Cambodian casinos were closed since 1 April and NagaWorld was cleared for operations on 5 July. It’s the only casino with a long-life monopoly license to operate in the capital and is the only legal venue within the city limits. Currently, the group has resumed all of the casino’s operations.
