Pixel Companyz partners with Groupe Partouche for IR bid
Japan’s Pixel Companyz Inc announced it will partner with Groupe Partouche SA, a French casino operator, to bid for a casino resort license in Japan.
Pixel Companyz is engaged in a variety of businesses including solar power generation systems, resorts, system innovation and entertainment. Groupe Partouche operates 42 casinos, with interests in hotels, restaurants, spas and golf courses.
The two will work reputedly within a consortium to create an integrated resort (IR) in Japan. The new project should have a casino, hotels, restaurants and all the major tourist attractions, in addition to a conference centre.
Pixel recently signed a partnership with IR specialty consulting company TTL Resorts Ltd to create a consortium. Within it, Groupe Partouche will be responsible for operating the casino in the IR.
Groupe Partouche previously partnered with Oshidori International Holdings for IR biddings, but terminated the partnership due to differences in strategies to progress.
The location for the new IR is not revealed, but it’s likely to be in Nagasaki due to the project’s smaller scale.
