William Hill has launched mrgreen.lv in the Latvian market.

The announcement came after the group obtained a license from the Lotteries and Gambling Supervisory Inspection of the Republic of Latvia. William Hill also operates the 11.lv brand.

The Mr Green brand primarily targets casino customers and the operator will hope it compliments sports-oriented 11.lv.

William Hill CEO of Latvian operations Janis Tregers said: “We aim to leverage the award-winning brand that Mr Green is in combination with our know-how of growing the business in the Latvian market.”

He that added 2020 was a challenging year for everyone but that players still enjoy online casino entertainment.

Patrick Jonker, MD William Hill International and CEO Mr Green, said: “Combining the local competence from our Latvian team, a strong product and brand, allows us to confidently look forward at doubling our presence in the Latvian market.

“Of course, we are also excited to be using the Green Gaming framework to further solidify our group’s leadership in the responsible gaming area of our business”.

Back in 2019, William Hill acquired MRG Group and its brands, which established a presence in Latvia.
