The temporary retail sportsbook is due to open on 22 June 2022, with DraftKings claiming its sportsbook will “give fans a taste” of an in-person sports betting experience.

The operator’s temporary sportsbook will feature an over-the-counter sports betting ticket cage and six self-service kiosks, designed to mimic the tone of the DraftKings mobile sportsbook app.

In fact, the retail sportsbook is due to open permanently come the autumn of 2022. DraftKings claims its permanent retail space will provide customers with expanded amenities.

Such amenities include more self-service kiosks and over-the-counter ticket cages, as well as the installation of a large video wall and odds board.

The grand opening of DraftKings’ new retail location will be celebrated by the operator and Bay Mills Resort & Casino later in the year.

Recently, DraftKings partnered with BetBlocker to promote safer play technology and offer free software to users allowing them to set customisable gaming restrictions across all devices.

DraftKings believes the introduction of BetBlocker technology increases its commitment to responsible gaming.

Alongside BetBlocker technology, the operator has implemented a SERVES (Service, Equity, Responsible Gaming, Vitality, Entrepreneurship and Sports) programme to incorporate a responsible gaming ethos into the brand.

Elsewhere, DraftKings inked a multi-market deal with High 5 Games at the end of May 2022. Per the deal, High 5 Games will supply its casino titles, joining DraftKings’ casino product roster.
