Her new role will have her lead AGA member relations, business developments and events.

Beddis has 16 years of experience at The Vision Council where she served as Executive VP, Membership and Strategic Initiatives. Her role included leading membership, organisational strategy and operations, as well as serving as the member liaison to the Vision Expo shows. She was also in charge of bringing new talent into the industry and organisation via the DEI and Emerging Optical Leaders programme.

Beddis’ role at The Vision Council during the pandemic saw her reorganise the organisation’s strategy, launch updated member programmes and create new revenue opportunities. She also served in marketing and communications roles for the company.

Beddis is a member of the American Society of Association Executives, American Marketing Association and CEO Update’s COO Forum.

AGA President and CEO Bill Miller commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Maureen to the AGA at this critical time for our association and industry. Maureen’s career is defined by her ability to drive strategy, convene members and deliver results. Her significant experience as an association executive will bolster our already strong team and help lead our organisation into the future.”

Beddis added: “I’m thrilled to join the dedicated AGA team and advance its mission to foster an environment where legal, regulated gaming thrives. I look forward to working with the association’s dynamic membership to deliver value and elevate AGA’s best-in-class events.”
