Playmaker Capital acquires Wedge Traffic platform

Playmaker Capital has acquired the platform of iGaming affiliate Wedge Traffic, its first business of this type.

Playmaker Capital acquires Wedge Traffic platform

Digital sports media company Playmaker says this acquisition will diversify revenue-generating capabilities, and increase its exposure in US markets while generating greater revenue.

The company adds the combination of its ecosystem of sports fans and Wedge Traffic’s technical and affiliation expertise, which will provide a service of value to sportsbooks and online casino operators.

Wedge Traffic owns and manages eight web properties that deliver site visitors directly to operators. Its sites display real-time state-by-state promotions, welcome bonuses and one-time offers.

Furthermore, Wedge Traffic facilitates safe play content, including actionable insights and strategies.

Playmaker says Wedge Traffic’s Founders Dan Kersh and David Copeland will provide it with expertise in iGaming affiliation.

Playmaker CEO Jordan Gnat said: “We have been very clear that creating a centre of excellence in affiliation was key to rounding out our offering as a leading sports media business.

“We look to super-serve all of our partners, and Wedge allows us to better serve critical customer segments, sports betting and iGaming operators. The team at Wedge is superb and we could not be happier having them join our family. “

Wedge Traffic CEO Dan Kersh added: “Outside of the fact that Playmaker’s diverse portfolio of brands will directly complement our business, there were two key reasons for deciding to join the Playmaker family.”

“Firstly, they understand how to support and accelerate data-driven marketing within the iGaming sector. Secondly, and perhaps of even greater importance, they appreciate the value of creating a winning culture and how it must be considered the heartbeat of any successful business.”
