Greentube acquires controlling share in Alteatec

Novomatic’s Digital Gaming and Entertainment division, Greentube, has acquired a controlling share in the iGaming management system and platform provider Alteatec.

Greentube acquires controlling share in Alteatec

The deal specifically sees Greentube Austria acquire a majority stake in the Malta-based IT company, providing it access to Alteatec’s Olympus One platform technology.

Furthermore, Greentube will be able to use Alteatec’s live dealer streaming and voiceover technology as part of the deal.

Greentube says the combination of Alteatec’s technology, alongside Novo Unity and the electronic table games of Novomatic, will allow it to provide “360-degree solutions” both on and offline.

Alteatec’s Olympus One system offers bonus engines and duel tournaments among other gamification tools. Greentube adds it was attracted to the product’s ability to connect online and land-based games via its Landbased Connection and Partner modules.

Per the acquisition, Greentube CEO Thomas Graf and COO Georg Gubo will become Managing Directors at Alteatec, alongside its current Managing Director Christian Sael.

“I am delighted to start 2023 in such momentous fashion. Alteatec is a market leader in iGaming technology and being able to utilise its talented and experienced team is going to be game-changing for Greentube going forward,” said Graf.

Gubo added: “It’s incredibly satisfying watching the business grow, especially when we’re bringing in some of the best talent from around the world via this acquisition. Alteatec’s technology will rapidly increase our overall output, taking us to the next level.”

The acquisition of Alteatec follows a string of other recent acquisitions made by Greentube, such as that of Present Creative in October 2022.

Alteatec’s Sael finished: “Greentube is a company that needs no introduction, so to become part of that storied brand truly is an honour. We’re all incredibly excited about this partnership and we can’t wait to get to work, delivering all the services we’re recognised for to help the company grow.”
