Xpoint secures Maryland licence
With licences now spanning 16 US states and Ontario, Xpoint is on a trajectory of geographical coverage, with additional licences awaiting approval.
Miami-based Xpoint has secured its Maryland licence. Xpoint has joined forces with Crab Sports, a Maryland-based sportsbook operator to expand in the Maryland online sports betting market.
The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission awarded Xpoint a sports wagering contractor licence in 2023, expanding its reach across the US and Ontario.
Xpoint’s Verify solution aims to ensure strict compliance with Maryland’s gaming regulations, confirming player locations within authorised betting jurisdictions.
It caters to mobile and desktop operating systems, including iOS, Android, MacOS and Windows, providing Crab Sports with a geolocation solution.

This development aligns with Xpoint’s previous collaborations, notably its partnership with PlayStar as the official geolocation partner, ensuring regulatory compliance for PlayStar’s online casino ventures in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Additionally in March 2023, Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) also received licences in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
