Mohegan named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity

Mohegan has made it into Newsweek’s America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity list for 2024.

The list, which focuses on inclusivity and respect, ranks different companies based on a variety of factors.

The evaluation process is weighted against employee feedback regarding diversity and inclusion practices.

As part of the rating, the company will be analysed on how it treats people of different ethnicities, genders, ages, sexual orientations and abilities.

In response to how it treats its 5,000+ employees, Mohegan scored five stars, which is the highest rating.

Ray Pineault, Mohegan President and CEO, said: “At Mohegan, we understand that a diverse workforce is key to fostering creativity, innovation and a dynamic environment where new ideas thrive.

“We are immensely proud of this recognition, and being named to this prestigious list reflects our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion and underscores the success of our efforts to integrate diversity at every level of our operations.”

Mohegan currently operates a few custom disability inclusion schemes, The Viability Program, The Mohegan Sun Student Vocational Inclusion Program and Project Search.

These aim to provide employment or internship opportunities to people with physical or developmental disabilities.

Naketrice Snow, Mohegan Director of People Experience, said: “Being recognised as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity reflects our belief that investing in diversity, equity and inclusion has true power.

“We’re committed to fostering an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.

“Our diversity initiatives are designed to ensure that we continue to be a leader in creating a workplace that respects, and celebrates our team members’ diverse experiences, backgrounds and unique stories that make them who they are.”

In its most recent Q4 earnings call, Mohegan discussed its profitability expectations for South Korea in the coming year.
