Kwiff introduces ‘Curfew’ tool to increase responsible gaming measures

UK-based Kwiff has introduced a new responsible gaming tool called ‘Curfew.’ This feature allows users to block access to the platform during specific hours of their choosing.
The tool is designed to help players manage their gaming activity and is an addition to Kwiff’s suite of player protection measures.
Kwiff’s Chief Risk Officer, Ian Perrygrove, said: “Industry regulations don’t require this level of technical expertise, but through internal collaboration, we identified the opportunity to go further than the minimum set of tools and we are seeing positive early usage.”
Perrygrove added: “Curfew offers a complete block of service access for designated time periods that are unique to the player’s own playing habits.”
The Curfew tool was developed through internal collaboration and reportedly goes beyond industry requirements. The feature offers users the option to fully block access to the service during designated periods, providing flexibility for players to tailor their usage patterns.
Data from early users indicates that while many have set restrictions after midnight, 24% of players have opted to limit access during daytime hours.
The introduction of the Curfew tool follows other developments for Kwiff, including a partnership with Kambi Group’s AI-powered Tzeract division in April 2024.
This collaboration saw the integration of Tzeract’s Bet Builder product, initially focused on football, with plans to expand into other sports. Additionally, Kwiff secured a streaming agreement with Racecourse Media Group, providing users access to live UK and Irish horse racing content.
