Federico Grinberg announces Better Collective departure

Federico Grinberg has announced that he will be stepping down as Better Collective VP Global Sports Media.
Grinberg’s career history is extensive. It began in 2000 when he worked in web development, later working in online advertising and marketing into the mid-2000’s. In 2006 he was appointed Marketing Manager for Telehispanic Services, and in 2007 took on the same role with Viva en Australia. In mid-2008 he joined Harrenmedia as Director New Business Development, and in 2009 Co-Founded Futbol Sites, while also acting as Managing Director.
In 2014 he took on the role of CEO at Futbol Sites, guiding the business for 11 years of his 16-year tenure. He was also made EVP at Playmaker Capital in 2021, after the business was acquired by the sports media company.
Acquisitions would continue, as Playmaker Capital was acquired by Better Collective in February 2024. While this would see the end of Grinberg’s EVP position, in May 2025 Grinberg would be appointed VP, Global Sports Media for Better Collective, seeing him also end his tenure as Better Collective CEO.

On LinkedIn, Grinberg wrote: ‘Today I want to share that I’m closing my chapter at Better Collective & Futbol Sites. Twenty-six years ago, when Nahuel and I met and dreamed of a web project, we never imagined it would grow into what Futbol Sites became. It was a long, challenging, and emotional journey.
‘There are hundreds of people I could name and thank, but leaving even one out would be unfair. So instead, I want to extend a huge thank you to each of you reading this post.
‘To the advertisers who believed in us early, to the partners and vendors who supported our growth, and to the partners who joined through acquisitions, thank you.
‘Most of all, to the hundreds of employees who worked with passion, loyalty, and commitment, many of whom became lifelong friends: you made this a family, and that’s why Futbol Sites was a success.
‘Thanks as well to Playmaker Capital for a unique experience, and thanks to Better Collective for the warmth and respect I received.
‘Now it’s time to pause, recharge and focus on new goals and ideas. The best is yet to come.’
