PRODUCTS

Gaming Solutions

One of the main products offered by NetEnt is its CasinoModule gaming solution. This is a management tool that allows operators to customise their offerings and monitor customer retention. As a complete gaming platform, CasinoModule also offers customers access to a library of unique games, while also providing access to the Back Office.

The Back Office solution is web-based to allow for easy accessibility and is a system that reviews, investigates and tracks player activity. Operators can access statistics and reports, with the option to have daily dashboard data sent straight to an email.

Included within this is a bonus wizard marketing tool. This is highly customisable, from offering birthday bonuses to fully-customised tournaments.

Game library

NetEnt currently develops multi-channel slot games, which means they can be played on desktop and mobile on an iGaming platform, as well as in retail land-based casinos. These titles include Vikings™ video slot, Lost Relics™, Gonzo's Quest™ and Starburst™.

The developer also offers pooled jackpots for four titles, Mega Fortune™, Hall of Gods™, Arabian Nights™, and Mega Fortune Dreams™. Mega Fortune™ is attributed for having a record-breaking payout of an online slot game for €17.86m (approximately $23m). It also broke a world record on mobile in 2015 with a payout of €8.6m.

Through its partnership with a number of major media companies, such as Colombia Pictures, 20th Century Fox and Universal, NetEnt has also delivered unique branded slots content. So far, these include Hells Kitchen Slot, Jumani Video Slot, Ozzy Osbourne Video Slots and Dracula.

Previously, NetEnt operated Qormi studio, a live casino studio. However, this was closed in 2020, following the acquisition by Evolution.

Gaming Industry Services

As well as offering games, jackpot solutions and management tools, NetEnt also supplies a number of business-related services. These include:

Business Intelligence: This data-based service gives reports on a range of information. The Business Intelligence team can generate quarterly network benchmark reports, game performance updates, demographic and ratio statistic data, and player needs and interests. All of this can be used to improve casino profitability.

Regulated Markets: With a dedicated team of experts, NetEnt can help you when it comes to navigating compliance issues, jurisdictions and regulated markets.

Training Services: Not all of NetEnt's solutions are easy for employees to understand straight away. This is why NetEnt offers training for Back Office, so that your team can take advantage of the full range of tools.

Technical Services: The team at NetEnt can assist with a range of technical advice or projects, from migration services to mergers and acquisitions. This team can also help with platform integration and creating custom technical solutions for compliance with governing regulatory authorities.

Hosting: Through its Service Level Agreement (SLA), NetEnt offers hosting and monitoring services for all hours of the day, every day of the year.

Customer Support: NetEnt has developed Customer Support processes that can ensure a response time of 20 minutes for critical business issues, while its team is trained to deliver personalized support, proactive monitoring and maintenance at all times.

Account Management: A dedicated Account Manager system means that everything can be easier to deal with, from KPI analysis and game performance to specific training, bespoke promotions and campaigns to advice and guidance in regulated markets.

HISTORY

NetEnt was founded in 1996 as Net Entertainment. The company has always worked in the gaming sector and was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange on April 2007.

In 2018, Therese Hillman was appointed CEO to succeed Per Eriksson. She had previously held the position of CFO and was appointed as new President and CEO by the Board of Directions on 22 May that year.

Later in 2018, NetEnt launched its affiliate business, NetEnt Games. This page recommends both select operators, bonuses and games, all from the official NetEnt brand.

A year later, under Hillman's leadership, NetNet acquired its competition, Red Tiger. This deal was valued at £200m ($253m) with a further earn-out of £23m.

Evolution made its first bid to acquire NetEnt in June 2020 for SEK 19.6bn ($1.8bn), which was completed by November 2020. Both NetEnt and Red Tiger became brands under the Evolution banner.

During the acquisition, Evolution said that it would undertake a "total reorganisation and integration" of the processes at NetEnt as it took over management of the company.

This led to a reinforced focus on the development of slot games by the company and a restructuring of the company.

Immediately following the acquisition, Evolution closed the Qormi live games studio at NetEnt, resulting in the loss of around 300 jobs less than a month before Christmas 2020.

A year later, Evolution would release its first live casino game, Gonzo's Treasure Hunt, using NetEnt intellectual property.

In April 2021, Hillman left her position as CEO of NetEnt, following the acquisition by Evolution.
