Major Achievements

One of Dan’s biggest achievements was his role at the helm of Flutter International’s acquisition of Italian operator Sisal for £1.62 billion, a move that secured a “gold medal” position in one of Europe’s most lucrative markets.

Under his leadership, the division has continued its aggressive expansion, most notably with the 2025 acquisitions of NSX (the operator behind the Betnacional brand in Brazil) and Snai in Italy, further solidifying Flutter’s dominance in the world’s greatest football nations.

Financial performance under Dan has remained robust. In the first half of 2025, the International segment delivered record momentum, with Q2 revenue reaching $2.4 billion and adjusted EBITDA hitting £591 million.

This growth has been driven by a 21% year-on-year increase in international revenue, fueled by organic iGaming success and the integration of new brands. Dan has also spearheaded transformation programs aimed at $300 million in annualized cost savings by 2027 through platform migrations for Sky Bet and PokerStars Casino.

At the beginning of 2022, under Dan’s leadership, Flutter obtained a full license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission for its subsidiaries, including PokerStars Casino, which hosts popular titles such as Big Bass Bonanza and Starburst

His strategic focus remains on “market adaptation,” ensuring that legacy land-based players in regions like Italy transition seamlessly to digital platforms through localized product innovation.

Awards & Recognition

Throughout his tenure at Flutter, Dan has been recognized for his ability to scale a global business while maintaining a “challenger” mindset:

  • Executive of the Year (Shortlisted): Global Gaming Awards 2023.
  • Top 50 Most Influential Leaders: Frequently featured in industry lists for his role in managing the world’s largest betting and gaming portfolio.
  • Industry Innovator: Acknowledged at the SBC Summit for his leadership in the “Flutter Edge” strategy.
  • Financial Leadership: Recognized for delivering a 103% surge in EBITDA for specialized business units during the 2024-2025 fiscal year.

Career Highlights

Dan Taylor started his career in an adjacent industry, serving as Manchester United’s Commercial Manager from 2004.

Between the early 2000s and the mid-2010s, he built a robust background in strategic development, serving as an Associate Partner at OC&C Strategy Consultants, Director of Strategy and Commercial Development at Dmg Media, and Managing Director at Teletext Holidays.

In March 2015, Dan would finally join the industry as Managing Director of Retail for Paddy Power. This saw him responsible for the retail portion of the business, as well as the Italian online business for both Paddy Power and Betfair brands.

Two years later, he would become Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, a position he held for one year before being appointed CEO of Paddy Power Betfair in 2018. In July 2020, Dan was named the CEO of Flutter International

In a major organizational shift in January 2025, Flutter Entertainment consolidated its global footprint, placing the UK & Ireland (UKI) region under Dan’s direct oversight within an enlarged International Division

He now manages operations across five key regions: UKI, Asia-Pacific (APAC), Southern Europe & Africa (SEA), Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), and Brazil. This role requires Dan to balance the “Flutter Edge”—the group’s global scale—with the nuances of local hero brands in more than 25 regulated markets.

In Their Own Words

Dan is a vocal advocate for the “federated model,” which empowers local teams to act with agility while leveraging global technology. Speaking at the SBC Summit Lisbon 2025, he reflected on the complexities of the current gaming landscape:

“Our operating environment has never been more complex. We’ve had to make difficult decisions while pursuing growth in exciting new regions that weren’t even on our radar five years ago. Success now depends on anticipating volatility and having the right structures in place to respond to it. The most sustainable growth comes from markets where we’ve built trusted, locally-led brands that truly understand mass-market customer needs.”
