It’s an extension to the initial two-year contract that sees the supplier provide the National Lottery of Croatia with instant game portfolio management, with the proceeds financially supporting developmental projects, including humanitarian causes in the country.
In the two-years, since 2018, that both companies have worked together for, retail sales for the supplier’s products at the National Lottery have grown by 60%. In 2019, Croatia instant game annual sales reached €14.2m ($16.77m) across the state-licensed lottery’s network of retailers.
SVP Global Instant Products for Scientific Games John Schulz, said: “There is great potential to responsibly grow the instant product category further in Croatia.
“Instant games as a game entertainment category is not fully realised in many European markets, and the National Lottery of Croatia’s recent success is a tremendous example of the product’s potential.”
Hrvatska Lutrija president of the board Mario Musa, added: “We are extremely pleased with the growth of our instant game product category since our relationship with Scientific Games began just under two years ago, and we look forward to continuing our good work together for two more years.”
The new contract strengthens Scientific Games’ lottery offering worldwide, currently providing games and services to more than 150 lotteries in 50 countries.
