The demolition had been planned for some time, with the chance to push the demolition button at one point being auctioned off.

Although those particular plans were scrapped, eye-catching images and videos show how the Trump Plaza was removed from the face of the Atlantic City skyline.

The casino, previously owned by former US President Donald Trump, had fallen into years of disrepair.

To illustrate this point, the image at the top of this article – when the property was in its pomp – is from 2014.

A new development will replace the Plaza, ensuring this particular spot in New Jersey will never quite be the same again.

The explosion was originally fully streamed but has now been condensed into a shorter version.
