The safer gambling campaign will centre stage at the Premier League match, which will be displayed live on Sky Sports. In addition, Take Time To Think will also feature on screens behind both goals and on the larger digital screens outside the stadium.
Michael Dugher, BGC Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted that Take Time To Think will feature so prominently at the West Ham v Spurs game, and that it will receive a nationwide audience.”
The campaign will also feature a full page of advertisements highlighting the organisation, which will be published in the match programme's inside front cover.
Super Group-owned Betway is one of the BGC members funding the campaign, in an aim to drive customers to use safer tools when gambling, like deposit limits and time outs.
Additional funders of the campaign include Betsson, Microgaming, BetVictor, Kindred, Playtech, Betfred, PlayOJO, William Hill, Entain, Bet365, Gamesys and Flutter Entertainment.
Launching with a series of television adverts, Take Time To Think showed examples of customers pausing mid-play before deciding whether to use one of the tools.
Anthony Werkman, Betway CEO, said: “It’s vitally important that we support this message and we are delighted to be able to donate such prominent assets in order to maximise the reach of the campaign.
“Betway back all aspects of the Take Time To Think safer gambling message and strive to ensure that our products are used in a fair, safe, secure and responsible environment.”
BGC Chair Brigid Simmonds recently spoke exclusively to Gambling Insider on this very topic.
