Twitter collaborates on the launch of new sports betting show in Canada

OLG is the latest brand to join up in collaboration with social digital agency so.da and social media platform Twitter, for the new digital sports betting series #OLGGamePlan.

Twitter collaborates on the launch of new sports betting show in Canada

#OLGGamePlan stands as the 10th content series developed under the Twitter Originals Fueled by so.da programme, as well as the first always-on sports series for so.da. It will also be Twitter’s first brand-led sports betting show in Canada and OLG’s first sports programme ever.

Launched in 2018, Twitter Originals Fueled by so.da has a portfolio of nine programmes that averaged over 50 million views per series. They each featured leading brands from Canada such as #PowerUp with Samsung Canada, #BestNightIn with Stella Artois and #KraftPBTV with Kraft Peanut Butter.

This latest series is filmed in Toronto, Ontario, and is created in its entirety by so.da’s production team. On a weekly basis, hosts from #OLGGamePlan will report on sports analysis to help fans select preferred teams, games and players. It also features weekly interviews and interactive content that allows viewers to engage fully with the programme.

The debut episode will air before this year’s Super Bowl LVI, giving enough time for an in-depth look at the match-up between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams; it is set to cover predictions, thoughts and odds on the game.

Shay Thiyagarajah, Partnerships Manager at Twitter Canada, commented: “#OLGGamePlan will be an all-star addition to the Canadian sports conversation on Twitter.

“With Twitter users being 51% more likely to have used a betting, gambling, or lottery website or app, we know #OLGGamePlan is exactly the kind of content our sports audience craves.”
