The group’s debut in the province comes amid the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) launching its regulated market for single-game sports betting, which begins today.
The company’s sportsbook is powered by IGT’s PlaySports platform, offering fans “elevated betting features including Same Game Parlay bets, Odds Boosts, Data Visuals, and Streaming options, to augment Canadians’ engagement with the sports they love,” FanDuel stated.
“FanDuel provides its proprietary risk and trading technology to offer bets on professional hockey, curling, football, basketball, baseball, golf, MMA, boxing, soccer, and tennis.”
The sportsbook is now available for download via iOS and Android for customers located anywhere inside Ontario’s border.
As noted by FanDuel, the sportsbook app includes features such as New Way to Parlay, Lightning Fast Payouts, 24/7 customer service, and Sports Betting 101, an online betting guide to help customers improve their knowledge of sports betting.
The group’s Player Account Management System in Ontario is powered by GAN, with GAN’s account and wallet technology connecting FanDuel's sportsbook and casino, allowing players to use their sportsbook and casino winnings interchangeably.
The casino meanwhile will make its debut on iOS, Android and desktop, with players able to enjoy more than 250 games across live dealers, live game shows, slots and tables games such as blackjack and roulette.
Following launch, the company plans to actively expand its games portfolio across all casino verticals in the province.
