Sportradar launches exchange that enables bookmakers to report suspicious bets

The sports technology company Sportradar has launched a new exchange which provides bookmakers with a networking platform where they can report suspicious betting activity.

Using Sportradar's Integrity Services technology, this new exchange grants bookmakers free access to global match fixing trends.

The supplier’s new platform, titled Sportradar Integrity Exchange, aims to further the company’s efforts to safeguard sports betting by engaging bookmakers in anti-match fixing efforts. Sportradar claims its new exchange will help in the worldwide fight against match fixing and support global integrity investigations.

In what is Sportradar’s first official integrity initiative with bookmakers, a four-point plan has been laid out.

This plan includes: establishing a two-way channel to exchange information and raise integrity-related concerns; crafting exclusive data-driven intelligence on global match-fixing situations; creating an onboarding session that details access to online education tools; providing an annual report which features global match-fixing trends and regional market breakdowns.

On the launch of this new exchange, Sportradar Integrity Services Managing Director Andreas Krannich added: “We’re inviting bookmakers to strengthen their contribution to the anti-match-fixing fight.

“The Sportradar Integrity Exchange is a vital part of our integrity vision to tackle match-fixing and follows the Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) bet monitoring system for sports organisations that we made free of charge last year.

“It means that we can address corruption from different aspects of the industry - it’s the flip side of the same coin and is the next step in our strategy to fight the growing match-fixing problem.”

In 2021, Sportradar Integrity Services detected 903 suspicious matches, which led to 65 sanctions being delivered using the supplier’s integrity data.
