The tribal operator’s Mohegan Sun property in the Constitution State has become the first gaming facility in the Northeast US to introduce “Dragon Link HD in-house progressive slot machines,” a product developed by Aristocrat Technologies.
These new machines are located in the high limit slot section near the Sachem Lounge and Vista Lounge at Wombi Rock.
Guests will be able to play the Dragon Link HD $1m progressive jackpot game, which has a $25 minimum bet and a $2,500 maximum bet.
According to Mohegan, this game allows “for jackpots to be built up solely from action placed on the Dragon Link slots at Mohegan Sun.”
“We’re thrilled to roll out the Dragon Link in-house progressive games for our guests and to be the first destination in the Northeast to have them is also very exciting,” said Jeff Hamilton, President and General Manager of Mohegan Sun.
“Mohegan Sun regularly has jackpots that exceed $1m and these new Aristocrat games will certainly contribute to more.”
The Dragon Link machines will complement Mohegan Sun’s existing slots offer. The property is home to nearly 4,000 slot machines, as well as almost 300 table games, across two casinos: Casino of the Earth and Casino of the Sky.
This news also comes amid a busy week for Mohegan. Comedian Chris Rock was recently inducted into the Mohegan Sun Walk of Fame, while Heather Menzano was named Mohegan’s new Vice President for Web Communications.
