The platform is already live in 17 states that collectively represent almost 36% of the entire US population.

Although the sportsbook has not revealed a launch date yet, it has already announced a range of welcome promotions and bonuses for its players.

Among the abovementioned promotions, users who sign up in Kansas prior to the launch date and download the DraftKings Sportsbook App will receive four $25 free bets just for signing up, without having to make any deposits.

Additionally, one random user who signs up early will be selected to receive a $100,000 free bet on launch day.

After going live, DraftKings users from Kansas will have access to legal and regulated opportunities to place bets across numerous sports, including baseball, college sports, football, soccer and others.

Back in May 2022, DraftKings along with Bally Bet announced an agreement with Boot Hill Casino in Dodge City, Kansas; thanks to which DraftKings Sportsbook can operate a retail sportsbook at the Boot Hill Casino.

Although no official date is available, experts say players from Kansas should be able to place their first bets by 1 January 2023, while other commentators say Kansas might start accepting bets even as early as November or December 2022.

There will be a maximum of 12 online sportsbooks in Kansas and the sports betting tax rate for the state has been set at 10%.
