When making the evaluation, the most important aspects that were taken into consideration were direct and indirect recommendations from employees: they were asked to rate the likelihood of recommending their own employers to friends and family, and they were also asked to evaluate other employers in the same industry.

The survey was independent and based on a sample of around 70,000 Americans working for companies with more than 500 employees in the US, across 25 industries.

The “Best-in-State Employers” award is granted by Forbes and the list was announced on 24 August 2022.

Ray Pineault, Mohegan President and CEO, commented: “We’re honoured to see Mohegan named among the best employers in Connecticut. The workplace culture at Mohegan and implemented at all of our properties are guided by our core values and the ‘Spirit of Aquai,’ which has created a strong and secure working environment for our team members that will continue for generations to come.

“The Spirit of Aquai is a centuries-old guiding philosophy infused throughout all levels of Mohegan operation. This allows employees to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for outstanding hospitality and guest experience – and we are thrilled to earn this recognition on such a prominent scale.”

Earlier in August, Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority published financial results for the company’s third fiscal quarter ending 30 June 2022.

Net revenue amounted to $417.1m, representing a rise of 27% year-on-year.
