Esports affiliate Strafe enters Netherlands market

The esports affiliate Strafe.com has expanded its global provision by entering the Netherlands market.

Esports affiliate Strafe enters Netherlands market

The company’s entry into the Netherlands follows its previous expansions into Germany, Japan and Sweden earlier this year.

Originally, Strafe.com was an esports brand that targeted the Anglosphere (English-speaking countries), but now accommodates bettors with a variety of sports and iGaming interests.

Strafe.com says its entry into the Netherlands is another stepping stone on its wider roadmap, having expanded its global offering to include sports betting, strategy guides and online casino reviews.

Strafe.com is not the only esports affiliate in the news recently. This week, EBet reported progress in reducing net loss and increasing adjusted EBITDA for the two months that ended August 2022.

The affiliate reported a net loss of $3.8m and adjusted EBITDA that was breakeven for the two months.

This was compared to a net loss of $9m and negative adjusted EBITDA of $4m in the previous quarter. It represents an average turnaround of approximately $1.7m per month in net loss and $1.4m per month in adjusted EBITDA for the two months ended August 2022.

Elsewhere, Tabcorp agreed to sell its eBet1 business to Venue Digital Technology for AU$62m (US$41.6m).

The sale to Venue Digital Technology, led by Frank Makryllos, is subject to the usual working capital and other minor adjustments. It is expected to result in a pre-tax gain on sale of approximately AU$39m on completion.
