The Jokerstar brand has been active in Germany for years through its retail casino arcades across the country, employing over 1000 people.
However, after the establishment of the new German regulator, Pragmatic and Kling saw the opportunity to bring the retail product to the online market.
The brand then undertook the rigorous process of implementing all the required regulatory controls to meet the strict conditions demanded by the regulator. Some of these controls included: enforcing betting and deposit limits, implementing problem gambling controls and integrating with the national self-exclusion database.
