Thanks to the new system, guests are now able to enjoy a selection of gaming services meant to optimise the slot machine experience.
Among the features brought by the new system, the most important ones are cashless wagering, and players having quick access to more information about their play, such as seeing earned points and the ability to easier redeem promotions and offers.
Konami’s Synkros casino management system was chosen as the official gaming enterprise management system of Carnival Corporation back in 2018, and all the group’s companies are currently working on implementing the system across its 90+ ship portfolio, spanning nine cruise brands.
Marty Goldman, Senior VP, Global Casino Operations, Carnival Corporation, commented: “The Synkros system – known as SURF (Serving Up Rewards and Fun) – offers exciting new features that personalise slot machine play and improves the experience for our guests who enjoy the casino.
“With the completion of the system installation across the fleet, Holland America Line ships are leading the way among Carnival Corporation’s portfolio of brands to deploy this exciting new system.”
Tom Jingoli Executive VP and COO at Konami Gaming added: “Synkros is part of a broad array of innovative initiatives and experiences available to guests on Holland America Line. Konami is committed to equally successful implementation across Carnival Corporation’s global fleet.”
This deal is an important one for Konami after having seen a decline in its Q2 2022 profit, despite a 22% year-on-year increase.
