According to Okada, Quicho has been appointed to ensure the billionaire’s business interests as Founder of the Okada Manila are protected.

In a written statement, Okada claims the appointment highlights his “serious commitment” to retaining his position as Chairman of the casino resort.

Quicho has a Master of Laws degree from the University of California Berkeley, obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.

The attorney is the current Dean of the Universidad de Manila College of Law after previously being Dean of the University of Makati School of Law.

Furthermore, Quicho previously served as Spokesperson to the Philippines’ former Vice President Jejomar C. Binay and Chief Justice Renato C. Corona.

Okada’s new Spokesperson currently manages his own law firm, having first worked in litigation with Siguion Reyna Montecillo & Ongsiako Law Offices from 2003 to 2007.

Per Okada’s statement, Quicho will meet with members of the media the week starting 10th October 2022, and share updates on Okada’s pursuit of status protection and his long-term vision for the casino.

Quicho is also expected to touch on corporate issues and infrastructural developments that Okada has planned for the casino.

The attorney will reveal Okada’s plans “to the extent legally permissible under present circumstances.”

Okada has recently been the recipient of an indictment from the Philippines’ Department of Justice, for “grave coercion” relating to his forceful takeover of the Okada Manila earlier this year.
