News Corp operates several well-known media companies, including The Sun and TalkSport.
Per the deal, GiG will help deliver sports betting and casino content to News Corp for the UK market.
GiG’s content will feature on special sections of The Sun and TalkSport’s websites, meaning readers and viewers can access sports betting material on a separate hub.
The supplier says it hopes to go live on The Sun and TalkSport’s websites shortly, taking advantage of the remainder of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
The Sun Director of Betting & Gaming Tim Reynolds said: "The partnership and new betting hub add to The Sun’s growing digital portfolio, and bolsters our suite of betting products. The collaboration with GiG will increase our content output and support The Sun in continually delivering excellent results for our bookmaker partners."
Gareth Williams, Director of Betting & Gaming at TalkSport, added: "We are delighted to be partnering with GiG to help grow our iGaming affiliate business. GiG's expertise combined with TalkSport's wall-to-wall sports coverage is a compelling proposition."
Meanwhile, GiG’s CMO Jonas Warrer called the collaboration one of great “magnitude.”
He said: “A collaboration of this magnitude will allow us to provide added value to our partners in the sports betting and casino sphere, reaching new heights while showcasing our abilities to operate at a top-tier level.”
The deal was signed for an initial period of five years and includes GiG’s player account management (PAM), front-end and content management system (CMS).
