Through the agreement, Kambi’s sportsbook engine, which is integrated into RSI’s online gaming platform, will support the latter’s growth in existing markets and expansion into further jurisdictions in the future.

The two groups initially joined forces in 2018 following the repeal of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) in the US, with Kambi supporting RSI’s entry into online sports betting in 15 states.

Such states include New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois, with the partnership also including the operator’s expansion throughout the Americas following launches in Canada, Colombia, and Mexico.

“RSI was the first US-based operator we partnered with post-PASPA, and it has been fantastic to witness RSI become one of the leading online gaming players in the Americas,” said Kambi CEO and Co-Founder Kristian Nylén.

“This contract extension ensures Kambi’s sportsbook will continue to complement RSI’s proprietary technology and platform, which together will provide the basis for even greater success in the future.”

Last month, Kambi signed an online sportsbook agreement with Rei do Pitaco (RDP), a Brazilian daily fantasy sports operator.

And in October 2022, Kambi saw an 11% fall in its Q3 revenue, reporting total revenue of €36.7m ($36.7m) for the quarter. Operating profit fell considerably to €3.9m, with cash flow also down as the provider cited a traditionally “challenging” period for sports betting, given the “quiet” sporting calendar – especially in Europe and the US.

Nevertheless, among its Q3 highlights, the supplier emphasised an operator turnover increase of 12% – driven by new market launches and partnerships.
