The approval marks the fourth US state launch for the sportsbook operator, following previous launches in New Jersey, Colorado and Ohio.

Tipico is offering bettors various sign-up promotions and cash offers to celebrate the launch, including a $250 deposit match and various offers of free bets.

Last month, the operator launched early sign-up offers to customers in Ohio amid the state’s preparation for the full launch of legalised sports betting, which began on 1 January 2023.

“We are thrilled to grow our footprint and give Iowa customers access to our proprietary product and competitive offering,” said Tipico USA CEO Adrian Vella.

“Iowa betters will be able to use a very simple product with fast deposits and withdrawals, experience cutting edge functionality in Live betting, SGP+ with wide coverage on player props, and can cash out anytime – including partial cash out capabilities. To top it off, Tipico’s functionality is run from within the US with customer service based in New Jersey.”

Also last month, Tipico agreed a deal with Cleveland-based entertainment network BigPlay to sponsor the latter’s live shows and streaming programmes. The agreement also sees Tipico sponsor BigPlay’s VIP Player Lounge and Studio at Burke Lakefront Airport in Cleveland.

And in other news involving the sportsbook, Tipico recently entered a multi-year partnership with AEG Presents. The agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, sees Tipico become the exclusive sponsor in the sportsbook category of multiple AEG Presents owned and operated music venues in Ohio and surrounding areas.
