This multi-year agreement will aim to provide sportsbooks in the del Lago Resort & Casino property in Waterloo. The multi-screen sportsbook will allow a large volume of customers to take advantage of the betting system at once.
This comes a year after the del Lago Resort & Casino was bought by Churchill Downs. After this acquisition, Churchill’s CEO Bill Castranjen promised to “strategically grow” the business in the years ahead.
Churchill Downs was awarded a casino licence a few months ago by the New York State Gaming Commission in October 2022. This is expected to be in response to their earlier del Lago buyout.
