The special tournament will be on Wednesday, March 8 at 4:30pm ET, and aims to raise money to help the United Breast Cancer Foundations work in the breast cancer field.

The United Breast Cancer Foundation provides a number of services, including individual grants, child sponsorships, breast screening and reconstructive surgery.

Entry to the tournament will be $55, with a $10k guaranteed prize pool. This will be paid out to players who make it into the money, with ACR matching the total of the prize pool and donating it to the United Breast Cancer Foundation.

In a bid to encourage players, all participants who enter the tournament will be credited with a $55 tournament ticket to use in the cardroom for later tournaments, making the charity event essentially a freeroll.

Throughout the event, Americas Cardroom Team Pros, Katie Lindsay and Ebony Kenney, will be joined by Nikki Lomo and Caitlin Comesky on the Cardroom’s Twitch channel. They will discuss how to perform breast self-examinations at home and why it’s important to do so.

This tournament will mark the second year that Americas Cardroom has run a charity tournament for International Women’s Day. Last year, the event raised over $15k for the charity.

ACR Team Pro Ebony Kenney said: “Last year’s International Women’s Day event on ACR was an absolute hit and I am so excited to be a part of it again. Playing poker with some badass friends of mine while also supporting a good cause?! Yes, sign me up!! I am honored to be a part of the positive and intentional movement happening for women in poker.”
