Solutions provider ProgressPlay has revealed that its latest technology now includes responsible gambling automation and tools.

The Malta-based supplier developed its own responsible gambling software in an innovation project last year; the software was written and launched in 2022 and tested over a period of months.

Last year, ProgressPlay internally restructured to create a new multidisciplinary responsible gambling team, putting together a team of executives alongside a new 'Responsible Gaming Monitoring Committee.'

The aim is to help steer the development of responsible gambling actions within the company while using its Progress Learn platform to drive knowledge and skills around the subject company-wide.

During its restructure, ProgressPlay significantly rethought its responsible gambling approach, which led to creating an AI-driven proprietary flow for interaction with players.

This recognises the signs of problem gambling in real-time and scores them against a number of criteria, as well as covering a range of factors, including know your customer, player activity, affordability levels and results in a transparent audit trail to protect and enable players.

From the first interaction with the player, full data is collected to assess the player's risk level. Upon identification, ProgressPlay’s responsible gaming team will undertake checks in real-time by reviewing, evaluating and concluding to take any necessary action, coupled with ongoing monitoring, ensuring their clients are not falling into financial difficulties.

ProgressPlay CEO Itai Loewenstein commented: "Every conversation today begins and ends with regulation. We are delighted with the innovation muscle of our team who have been able to introduce new levels of capability beyond regulatory standards."
