The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) has received a $10,000 donation from DoubleDown Interactive to help the organisation carry out its objective of preventing cruelty to animals across the country.

DoubleDown Casino will host a play-to-enter giveaway on 3 June 2023 as a way for players to interact with and support the charitable donation.

The Paws for the Cause event gives participants the chance to show their support for the ASPCA and gain knowledge about the work done by the group to assist vulnerable and victimised animals.

Keuk Kim, CEO of DoubleDown, said: “Charitable outreach is a proud commitment for our company and an expression of our values. We know our fans feel strongly about animal welfare as well. It is our honour to make this donation to the ASPCA.”

Matthew Carroll, Senior Manager at ASPCA Cause Partnerships & Events, said: “We are thankful for DoubleDown’s continued support of our efforts to rescue and care for animals. Their donation will go a long way in helping animals in need across the country, and we appreciate DoubleDown and their players’ commitments to the welfare and safety of animals.”

Meanwhile, DoubleDown Interactive released its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2022 in February.

The company reported declining revenue and adjusted EBITDA. When compared to the same quarter last year, the company's total sales decreased by almost $10m in Q4.
