LeoVegas has been given three new five-year B2B licences in Sweden, for the purpose of offering operators its own gaming software.

Furthermore, the licences will see LeoVegas able to develop its own gaming software through its game studio Blue Guru Games.

The company has stated that it aims to improve channelisation in Sweden with the use of its new licences, thereby preventing unlicensed operators from gaining market share in the country.

Gustaf Hagman, CEO of LeoVegas Group, said: “We welcome the introduction of B2B licenses, a decisive step towards mitigating the impact of key gaming software being simultaneously provided to licensed operators and unlicensed operators targeting Swedish players.

“With the new regulations in force, it is now critical that authorities focus on those suppliers deliberately undermining the Swedish licensing system by facilitating unlicensed gaming."

This news comes shortly after LeoVegas revealed it is committed to purchasing Push Gaming, which also holds two B2B licences in Sweden, in a deal that’s expected to be complete by Q3 of this year.

Once part of LeoVegas, employees of Push Gaming will continue to develop and distribute games through its own platform and remote gaming server.

LeoVegas has also confirmed that the 100+ employees will continue to work under the same management team as prior to the acquisition.

Hagman added: “The management team at Push Gaming has had a phenomenal journey, quickly growing the company from a small start-up to a player with outstanding proprietary content and a strong customer base.”
