Softswiss stats: 78% of all bets are mobile

Softswiss has announced its statistics regarding the popularity of betting across different sports and betting patterns.

In terms of statistics, the following sports have gained the highest popularity for bets through the Softswiss platform: football, basketball and tennis.

Alexander Kamenetskyi, Head of Softswiss’ Sportsbook, commented on how esports is on a growing trajectory and how bettors should keep an eye on the momentum of cyber sports.

Kamenetskyi, Head of Softswiss Sportsbook, commented: “The leading trio in sports by the Bet Sum holds no surprise, yet esports continues its remarkable expansion. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has consolidated its position among the top 10 sports with a staggering 339% year-on-year surge in bets and a remarkable 388% increase in the Bet Sum.

“Following closely are League of Legends and Dota 2, shining in the realm of cybersports. This is a reminder for us to keep an eye on cybersports as the momentum continues to grow.”

The statistics revealed that 78% of all bets were made via mobile devices, with only 22% attributed to being made on a desktop.

With people now being able to bet on their mobile phones, people are more spontaneous about betting and arguably are more likely to bet on a sport if it’s on a handheld device.

Due to this, the Softswiss Sportsbook developed a mobile application and now offers it to its partners.

Statistics also revealed that 62% of all bets revolve around live events and the average live event bet is twice that of pre-match wagers. Taking this statistic into account, the Softswiss Sportsbook team now advocates for the strategic utilisation of such bonuses as Comboboost to incentivise players towards placing more combo bets.
