Rivers Casino, operated by parent company Rush Street Gaming, will host a synchronised community celebration across five different areas as part of its “Rivers Gives Day of Service 2023” event.

The Rivers Gives scheme is a longstanding charity initiative that gives employees at Rivers Casino the chance to volunteer at local partnered non-profit organisations.

These could be donation drives, groundskeeping and cleanups, assembling care packages, dropping off toys at local children’s hospitals or general service.

This year, the Rivers Gives event will be held on 17 October and in five locations, those being Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Des Plaines Chicago, Schenectady and Portsmouth.

There are three main areas that the scheme will focus on; health and human services, workforce development and economic opportunity and supporting US military veterans.

Also, Rivers Casino Schenectady is partnering with The American Cancer Society (ACS) for the Rivers Gives event.

Employees will prepare baked goods, help tidy up and maintain the ACS HopeClub garden and make cards for survivors, among other activities.

Tim Drehkoff, Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming CEO, said: “Rivers Casino is committed to the health, well-being and economic vitality of the communities in which we operate and to those who have served our country.

“By concentrating our efforts around these key areas, we expect to heighten our impact while continuing other community engagement initiatives throughout the year.”

Both Rivers Casino and Rush Street Gaming contribute around $14m to local non-profit organisations and community groups each year.

In other company news, Rush Street Interactive launched content from Pariplay in Pennsylvania earlier this month.
