The Hungarian national lottery company, Szerencsejáték (SZRT), has launched a sportsbook and platform service powered by EveryMatrix's OddsMatrix.
This move aims to allow Hungarian residents to experience digital betting in a regulated and responsible manner.
EveryMatrix was awarded the contract in January 2023, through a public tender, to provide the Hungarian state-owned gaming and lottery operator with a suite of digital sports betting software solutions and services. These services are tailored for SZRT's online brand, TippmixPro.
The multi-year agreement is a result of a competitive procurement process that lasted 15 months and involved more than 25 bidders.
This development provides both new and existing customers of SZRT with features such as cash out, bet builder and promotions like Stake-Back Special.
GamMatrix developed operational and responsible gambling features, such as a multi-step registration process and self-exclusion functionality, in compliance with SZRT's specific requirements and regulatory standards.
In September 2023, EveryMatrix became the first iGaming supplier to receive a World Lottery Assocation Safer Gaming Certification.
SZRT hopes to benefit from EveryMatrix's trading, product and account management teams, along with the capabilities of the PartnerMatrix affiliate system.
EveryMatrix's expansion into the Hungarian market follows its deployment of a custom platform for Bet-at-home's launch in the German market. The company has reported strong financial performance in recent quarters, recording an 88% increase in Q2 revenue compared to the previous year.
