Games provider Habanero has attained a licence from the Swedish Gambling Authority (SGA), marking the next step in its European market journey.
This licence grants Habanero the authority to offer its entire game catalogue to operators in the region. Notable titles such as Hot Hot Fruit, Mystic Fortune Deluxe and Santa's Village will now be available to players.
This development follows Habanero's recent achievement of an MGA licence and approvals in various regions including Romania, the Argentine-regulated City and Province of Buenos Aires and Panama.
Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development at Habanero, said: “Being awarded our Swedish licence is both gratifying and exciting for Habanero as we look to scale up our operations in the market and partner with stakeholders to bring the wonderful world of Habanero to even more players than ever before.”
This development follows Habanero's recent partnership with Reevo, where the supplier integrated its portfolio of slots, table games and video poker titles into the Reevo platform. Games like Slime Party, Atomic Kittens, Meow Janken, Dragon Tiger, War and Joker Poker were included.
Additionally, Habanero's use of HTML5 technology aims to ensure accessibility across various devices, from phones to tablets.
Petra Maria Poola, Reevo's Head of Sales, said: “Habanero's diverse, boundary-breaking games and their rapid expansion is admirable.”
The expansion of Habanero's presence in Sweden aligns with ongoing regulatory efforts within the country. Notably, the SGA recently granted a five-year extension to Videoslots, despite imposing a penalty on the operator due to anti-money laundering compliance issues.
