IGT secures contract to modernise Loto-Québec VLT network

International Game Technology (IGT) has been chosen through a competitive bidding process to upgrade Loto-Québec’s Video Lottery Terminals (VLT) network.

The agreement, facilitated by IGT Canada Solutions ULC, involves the phased introduction of PeakDual 27 VLTs throughout Québec – aligning with Loto-Québec’s ongoing VLT replacement cycle.

Stéphane Fraser, EVP and COO of Gaming Establishments at Loto-Québec, stated: “For decades, Loto-Québec has looked to IGT to supply quality hardware and game content to our gaming establishments network. We are pleased to announce this new agreement.”

The PeakDual 27 VLT includes dual 27-inch high-definition monitors and a 13.3-inch digital player panel. IGT’s range of games, both established titles and new releases, will be featured on these terminals.

In an unrelated achievement, IGT has received the highest MSCI ESG rating of AAA, recognising the company’s commitment to sustainability. The evaluation covered various categories, focusing on governance, product safety, carbon emissions and labour management

Additionally, IGT has extended its collaboration with the Virginia Lottery through a three-year contract extension until October 2033. This extension, spanning over two decades, involves upgrading the Virginia Lottery’s central retail system using IGT’s latest technologies.

Enhancements include the introduction of Retailer Pro S2 and the modernisation of the communications network, with a planned go-live date of October 2025.
