B2B iGaming technology company BeyondPlay has been acquired by FanDuel, a Flutter Entertainment-owned operator and America’s leading online sportsbook. The acquisition will see BeyondPlay become part of FanDuel Casino, where the company will work on product development for the operator.
BeyondPlay was a runner-up in the category ‘Breakthrough Company of the Year’ at the Global Gaming Awards EMEA 2024.
FanDuel’s iGaming product is the second-largest in the US by market share, according to the company’s Q4 2023 report. It holds a market share of 26%, up 5% year-on-year in Q4, with Flutter’s US operations revenue up 38% for the year 2023. Recently, Flutter exited the Dublin Stock Market and made the New York Market its primary market, which caused some concern for London among analysts.
BeyondPlay focuses on creating player engagement software for the iGaming market, with products including its Jackpot Management System and Multiplayer Software. These offer customisable jackpot campaigns and same-game casino play solutions respectively. The company was founded in 2021 and has licences in territories including Ontario, Sweden, the UK and Malta.
BeyondPlay CEO Karolina Pelc said: “As a founder, witnessing the journey of our start-up from its humble beginnings to becoming part of the world’s leading online sports betting and iGaming company is an incredibly gratifying experience. This acquisition validates the hard work and dedication of our team and the vision behind our products. We are excited to join forces with FanDuel Casino.”
FanDuel Casino Managing Director Asaf Noifeld added: “I’m absolutely delighted with the acquisition of BeyondPlay. Our US strategy is about investing to win, and continuously improving our iGaming proposition for our customers is a key part of that. This acquisition further strengthens FanDuel Casino’s leading customer experience, by adding BeyondPlay’s best-in-class jackpots and multiplayer technology.”
