BetComply has unveiled a new self-assessment/audit hybrid to help licence holders in the Netherlands comply with the Kansspelautoriteit’s (KSA) rules and regulations.

The ComplyCheck tool is powered by SG Certified and starts with a set of questions for operators to complete and back up with evidence, which is then reviewed after submission by the BetComply team.

A full report based on those responses is then analysed by BetComply  to show any gaps where the operator is not compliant, and to ensure they are within any new guidance that is currently in consultation.

The KSA last year published a report on the duty of care expected of licensed online casino operators in the Netherlands, with this new guidance playing a key role in KSA supervision during the course of this year.

It was only at the end of last week when the KSA fined Gammix Limited over €19.6m ($21.3m) for operating without a licence.

BetComply Chief Compliance Officer, Mike de Graaff, said: “The KSA has made it very clear that licence holders in the Netherlands are at genuine risk of sanctions if they are not proactive when it comes to providing a duty of care to their customers.

“With ComplyCheck, we take the guesswork out of meeting compliance requirements in an efficient and cost-saving manner that works with the daily operations of your business.”

In other news, Sportradar released its annual integrity report ‘Betting Corruption and Match-fixing in 2023.’
