Distributor of iGaming content, 3 Oaks Gaming, has obtained the certification required to operate in Portugal.

3 Oaks has certified 40 games in its portfolio against the requirements needed for the online gambling system, regulations and rules of Portugal’s gambling regulator, Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos Turismo de Portugal.

Operators in Portugal will have access to the company’s slot game titles, including the likes of Gold Nuggets, Aztec Fire 2 and Sun of Egypt 4.

On top of its games, operators will also have access to 3 Oaks’ promotional tools, including Flip2Win, which is an in-game bonus engine made to reward players with guaranteed prizes throughout each gaming session though a unique guaranteed win mechanic.

This marks another key move in the supplier’s expansion plans, after it acquired its remote operating licence from the Gambling Commission in the UK only two weeks ago.

3 Oaks Gaming Managing Director Sebastian Damian said: “Being approved by the Portuguese regulator is another significant milestone for 3 Oaks and reflects our continued growth trajectory.

"Strong demand for our games and promo tools means we can enter new markets such as Portugal with confidence. We know there remains a strong appetite from players for the slots we produce across Europe, including those with the iconic Hold and Win experience that continues to evolve, so we’re looking forward to working closely with Portuguese-facing operators in the near future.”

The Portuguese market is most certainly one to watch in 2024, already seeing Betway launching with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) in the country and MGA Games partnering with Solverde.pt to extend its presence in the region.
