Floridians will soon be able to order tickets for their lottery games online courtesy of a new agreement with theLotter, a lottery courier service.
Established in 2002, theLotter Group has been providing its services in multiple states including Texas, Minnesota and Oregon for several years.
More recently, the company has expanded to New Jersey (where it is an official lottery courier service) and New York, with licensing from the New York Gaming Commission.
Commenting on the company’s launch in Florida, Yael Hertz, theLotter Group CEO, stated: "We're thrilled to bring our services to Florida. Our launch in the Sunshine State marks a significant milestone for theLotter, and we are extremely proud to offer an accessible platform for ordering lottery tickets online. This brings a renewed level of convenience to customers in the area."
To use the service, customers need to create an account, confirm they are physically located in the state and verify their age and identity. After setting up an account, users can then add payment methods, choose their lottery game, select numbers and confirm their order.
TheLotter fulfils ticket orders from a licensed Florida lottery retailer. These tickets are scanned into customers' personal accounts where they can view them before the draw.
Customers are notified if they win, with prizes under $600 deposited directly into users’ accounts.
