- Alimaniere faces fines of €140,000 per violation, with a maximum of €420,000
The Dutch Gaming Authority (KSA) has imposed a penalty on Alimaniere Sociedad de Responsabilidad for offering unlicensed online gambling services to Dutch players through the website time2spin1.com.
This action follows an earlier investigation where Alimaniere’s initial site, time2spin.com, was blocked from access in the Netherlands.
In response, Alimaniere established a new platform, time2spin1.com, which allowed continued access to its gambling services.
Good to know: The KSA mandates that all providers offering online games of chance to Dutch residents must hold a valid licence, ensuring compliance with regulations focused on fair play and protecting consumers from gambling risks.
The KSA's penalty payment order requires Alimaniere to immediately cease offering these services in the Netherlands. Should Alimaniere fail to comply, it faces fines of €140,000 ($148,920) per violation, up to a total of €420,000.
Earlier this month, the KSA intervened in cases involving three providers that breached new rules governing gambling sponsorships. These rules, implemented in July 2024, restrict sponsorships to sporting events and prohibit targeting minors and young adults.
The three providers involved were found to have displayed promotional materials in ways that indirectly reached vulnerable audiences, including minors.
The KSA has indicated that it will continue to monitor activities closely to uphold regulatory standards in the industry.
