Key points:
- A sportsbook has been added alongside Wildz's online casino platform
- Designed similarly to casino product
- Hosts a range of features such as streamer content and podcasts
Wildz, the flagship brand from iGaming company Rootz, has introduced a sportsbook to its offering.
This sportsbook will be combined with the online casino Wildz already hosts, with a casino look and feel to aid players in transitioning into the new offering.
While players can bet on a number of sports, it also features streamer content, 24/7 live streaming, a live chat feature and podcasts, alongside other added extras.
The sportsbook itself has a card layout and includes a superboosted bet called Bet of the Day, a free-to-play predictor game. To increase player engagement, the sportsbook will also utilise shared bets and influencer bets.
Personalisation is also a key aspect of the Wildz sportsbook, with customised bets and a For You widget, with the customised front end of the product supported by Altenar.
Rootz CEO Sam Brown said: “The Wildz marketing payoff line has always been Get More, and that’s exactly what customers can expect. Not only can they enjoy the world-class online casino experience they’ve come to expect, they can have a go at a competitive sports wager if they choose to.
Good to know: Rootz CEO Sam Brown appeared on the Huddle in August to discuss a number of topics
“This is entertainment quite unlike anything that’s been offered before; we’re confident that Wildz will lead the way for our own brands and as a benchmark to our competitors. Our immediate goal is to expand the Wildz offering across all our markets so that players can tap into the full suite of experiences worldwide.”
Rootz Head of Sportsbook Mark Simmonds added: “Wildz was founded by sports lovers, so it has long been our objective to offer a sports betting product that builds on our existing success.
“Hosting the sportsbook on the same platform makes it easier for players to exercise their preferences; they can enjoy a few spins on the slots and then place bets on their favourite sports & competitions. They don’t need to go through the hassle of registering for another site. We’ve chosen to frame our sportsbook in a format that’s recognisable to our casino players and in such a way that fans of both styles of gaming can enjoy the whole package in one space.”
Similarly, last week, Comeon Group introduced its sportsbook offering in the Canadian province of Ontario, over two years after it first obtained a gambling licence to deliver its casino game in the region.
