Key points:
- Habanero has been authorised by MINCETUR to operate in Peru’s regulated market
- The approval allows Habanero to supply games such as Hot Hot Fruit and Zeus Deluxe
- The company is now certified in 25 global markets, including Colombia and Buenos Aires
Habanero has received accreditation from Peru’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) to operate in the country’s regulated gaming market.
The approval permits Habanero to offer its game portfolio, including titles like Hot Hot Fruit and Zeus Deluxe, to operators within Peru.
This development comes after the introduction of a regulatory framework in Peru in late 2023, which has positioned the country as an emerging gaming market in the Latin American region.
The framework aims to bring structure to the industry while supporting player protection and market transparency.
Habanero’s approval in Peru is part of its continued focus on Latin America, a region where it has already established operations in Colombia, Panama and Buenos Aires.
Good to know: The company now holds certifications in 25 regulated markets worldwide.
Arcangelo Lonoce, Head of Business Development at Habanero, said: “Peru is one of the most promising up-and-coming markets in Latin America and we are delighted to position ourselves as a trusted and dependable supplier in the region.”
In January 2024, Habanero partnered with SkillOnNet to distribute its games across brands such as PlayOJO and Spin Genie. Additionally, Habanero obtained a Swedish B2B licence in December 2023, enabling it to operate in key European markets.
