Playtech agrees poker deal with PMU

Supplier extends presence in poker market within France.

Playtech and French gaming operator Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) have joined forces through a strategic partnership. 

This collaboration will focus on Playtech’s poker capabilities, with PMU joining the iPoker.EU network, and the supplier aiding it with its poker network services and content. 

Included with this deal is Playtech’s poker platform gamification and player engagement tools, while its games and poker tournaments are also involved. 

This isn’t Playtech’s first venture into the poker market within France, having partnered with La Française des Jeux (FDJ) in July 2023, supplying its services and content for the operator’s poker network. 

Playtech VP Interactive Gaming Marat Koss said: “We are thrilled to partner with PMU, a leader in the French gaming market.  

Good to know: Playtech's Elite Series Winter Edition which took place between December 2023 and January 2024 was the largest event held on the iPoker network 

“France is a key market for Playtech, and this collaboration continues to highlight our commitment to providing innovative and engaging poker solutions to our licensees needs, ensuring an engaging experience for their players.” 

PMU Product, Service and Innovation Director Stéphane Auffret added: "Partnering with Playtech and joining the iPoker network represents a strategic and significant step for PMU's growth, allowing us to offer our players an unparalleled poker experience.
